Take look at these two short videos showing the immense power these world class sprinters have from plyometrics training. Check out Linford’s christies 1 leg hurdle jumps (0.49 sec). The second video is of Ato Boldan. Watch him jump onto a platform that is head height. (The video quality is not the best but ignore that!).
Please note, do not copy these exrcises, you need to go through a preparation period before starting such high intensity and potentially dangerous exercises.
